AMERICANS BY HEART: "Undocumented, Higher Education and Immigration Reform"
a talk by Dr. William Perez Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 6:00pm at the University YMCA, 1001 S. Wright St., Champaign Dr. William Perez will address the issues and concerned related to undocumented students in higher education and the impacts of immigration reform. His talk will involve a combination of his research findings from both his books - "We ARE Americans: Undocumented Students Pursuing the American Dream" (2009) and "Americans by Heart: Undocumented Latino Students and the Promise of Higher Eduction" (2011). Dr. Perez was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, is an Associate Professor of Education at Claremont Graduate University. He earned his BA at Pomona College and his PhD at Stanford University.
